The Los Angeles Dodgers win their third World Series in eight years in Los Angeles, beating the Minnesota Twins in seven games in a great Fall Classic.  Sandy Koufax went 2-1 in the series, including a 7th game 3-Hit Shutout.  The regular season wasn't any easier as the San Francisco Giants battled the Dodgers all the way to the finish line, falling just 2.0 games back of the NL Pennant winners.  In the American League, the Twins were strong throughout the season finishing 7.0 games ahead of the White Sox.  The National League featured seven 20 Game winners with Sandy Koufax leading the way, tallying 26 Wins.  Don Drysdale Won 23 himself, giving the Dodgers a powerful one-two punch on the mound.  Willie Mays won the NL MVP with a sweet swinging 52 Home Runs, a career high.  Mudcat Grant led the American League with 21 wins on the mound and Zoilo Versailles won the AL MVP, both for the Twins.  There are Hall of Famers littered throughout the teams in 1965 and they did not disappoint, giving MLB fans another great ride in '65.  Relive it all with Dugout Steps Baseball and the 1965 Season Set.
