DSB-H-1999
The New York Yankees go back-to-back, winning the 1999 World Series in a 4-0 sweep against the Atlanta Braves. The Yankees become a dynasty and players like Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Bernie Williams, Paul O'Neil, Tino Martinez and Jorge Posada are the names Yankee fans will remember forever. The Boston Red Sox gave the Bronx Bombers a decent race in the AL East while the Cleveland Indians continued to roll in the AL Central and the Texas Rangers won the West. The Atlanta Braves continued to be the class of the National League winning the East but the Mets gave them a battle, earning the Wild Card. The Houston Astros won the NL Central, outlasting the Cincinnati Reds and the Arizona Diamondbacks, in just their second season as a franchise, won the NL West. Chipper Jones won the MVP in the NL while Randy Johnson won the Cy Young Award. In the American League, Ivan Rodriguez took home the MVP and Pedro Martinez won the Cy Young. Relive it all with Dugout Steps Baseball and the 1999 Season Set.
