It's a repeat in Tinseltown. The combination of Shaq and Kobie leads the Lakers to their second NBA championship in a row. The path, however, wasn't easy. The Western Conference was stacked with outstanding teams. The San Antonio Spurs finished with the NBA's best record at 58-24. The Sacramento Kings challenged the Lakers all the way to the finish, ending up just 1 game behind. Utah, Dallas, Phoenix and Portland all finished with 50 wins or more. The Trail Blazers finished at 50-32 and earned the 7th seed. Allen Iverson led the 76ers to the best record in the Eastern Conference. A late season trade landed Dikembe Mutombo and set the Sixers up for a nice playoff run. While the Lakers went through the west without a loss in the playoffs, the 76ers had some tough battles, beating the Raptors in 7 games in the Easter Conference Semi-finals and outlasting the Milwaukee Bucks in 7 games as well. The Sixers managed to swipe a game from the Lakers but that was it. Relive all of the action with Courtside Basketball and the 2000-01 Season Set!
