The 1972-73 Season Set.  After dropping off their championship pace a bit in the 1971-72 season, the Montreal Canadiens return to their winning ways and hoist the Stanley Cup again.  The Canadiens were the class of the NHL, with 120 points, well ahead of their rival the Boston Bruins.  The Chicago Black Hawks were the best team in the West but were no match for the Habs.  Ken Dryden won the Vezina Trophy and Bobby Clarke won the Hart Memorial Trophy.  Phil Esposito was outstanding, leading the league in Goals (55), Assists (75) and Points (130).  Bobby Orr tallied 101 Points as a blue liner.  The Atlanta Flames and New York Islanders joined the NHL for the 72-73 season.  Relive the exciting 1972-73 NHL season with Rinkside Hockey and the 1972-73 Season Set.
