The Pittsburgh Penguins win their first Stanley Cup.  The Chicago Blackhawks won the President's Trophy but were upended in the first round of the Norris Division playoffs by the Minnesota North Stars who made it all the way to the Cup Final but lost to Pittsburgh.  Brett Hull scored 86 goals!  Wayne Gretzky led the league in Assists with 122 and total points with 163.
